RES4MED&Africa officially joined the United Nations Global Compact, the world largest corporate responsibility initiative with nearly 12,000 business and non-business participants in 140 countries.
The UN Global Compact aims to mobilize a global movement of sustainable companies and stakeholders to create a better world. It supports companies to i) do business responsibly by aligning their strategies and operations with Ten Principles on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption and ii) to take strategic actions to advance broader societal goals, such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals, with an emphasis on collaboration and innovation.
UN Global Compact participants across industries are changing the way they operate to implement responsible practices and developing innovative solutions to address poverty and inequality, and support education, health and peace and more. RES4MED&Africa joined the coalition confirming its willingness to engage with the UN Global Compact Ten Principles with respect to human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.
“We are honored to be part of the UN Global Compact initiative, and look forward to fulfil our commitment in engaging with the UN Global Compact by implementing its Ten Principles within RES4MED&Africa’s own strategy” affirms Roberto Vigotti, RES4MED&Africa Secretary General.
