Enel hosted a conference on 5 December 2017 on renewable energy challenges and opportunities for Italy. Among others, the Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni and Enel CEO Francesco Starace opened the discussion.
PM Gentiloni presented SEN (Strategia Energetica Nazionale) with clear ambitious objectives such as decarbonization. Mr. Starace highlighted in his opening remarks that the renewable energy revolution is in place and RE sources are becoming very competitive with generation costs decreasing dramatically, defining this a “global trend followed by an explosion of investments”.
RES4MED&Africa Secretary General Roberto Vigotti moderated a panel on the industry perspective towards renewable energy deployment. Read more (ITA)
